The Implementation of Art. 12 of Directive 96/82/EC (Seveso II) Into Austrial Legislation: Possible Solutions and Problems Encountered

Abstract

This paper is aimed to provide an idea to the European Community of how Member States with a Federal structure, such as Austria, cope with the implementation of "horizontal Directives", such as Seveso II. It will not only be the legal part of work that is to be indicated, but also the working structures and questions arising from the "practical part" of it - i.e. the definition and implementation of reference scenarios will be described. Last but not least possible solutions and problems encountered will be indicated.
